As the year 2023 came to a close, the European fast food and casual dining sector saw significant user engagement through their mobile applications. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers a glimpse into how top restaurant apps performed in the fourth quarter.

McDonald’s - Non-US experienced fluctuating download numbers starting with 722K in late September and dipping to 620K by the year's end. Despite the drop in downloads, weekly active users peaked at 18.5M in late November before settling at 14.2M in the final week of December.

For KFC: Food delivery., downloads in Europe remained stable with an initial 282K in late September and a slight increase to 322K by the end of December. The app's weekly active users saw a high of 4.7M in mid-October, followed by a modest decline to 4.1M by the quarter's end.

Starbucks UK experienced a notable decline in downloads, beginning with 146K and ending at 52K in December. The weekly active users also saw a decrease from 545K to 500K during the quarter.
